STEVE SHELTON

Board Member

It is an honor to be able to serve the administrative needs of missionaries around the world allowing them to focus on their service to people in the name of Jesus. I joined the Mission Dispatch board in 2018 and presently serve on the board of Kidstown International, the leadership team of Missions Fest Seattle, and am a group leader for Bible Study Fellowship.

I’ve served on several boards in the recent past, including The Edmonds Waterfront Center, Edmonds Center for the Arts, the Snohomish County Public Facilities District, Breakthrough Partners, Crisis Connection, and served on several community task forces.

Prior to retiring, in my capacity as Vice President of the Credit Division of Nordstrom, I served on several credit industry boards and cross company working groups.

I’ve been blessed to be married for 50+ years to the love of my life, Leanne. Leanne recently turned over her Dance school (Barclay Shelton Dance Centre) to her protégés after over 40 years of serving the Edmonds community.

We have two children and two grandchildren whom we love deeply and pray for every day.

Tom and his wife Hannah have four great kids – Kendal, Abby, Sam, and Nash. The first letter of their first names spells out the word t-h-a-n-k-s, which describes his attitude about his family and serving the Lord – filled with thanksgiving.

CINDY LEONARD

Financial Administrator

You could say Cindy hit the road running when she was born, and that would be pretty close to total accuracy. Unlike most kids who ease into their worlds at a decently early age, Cindy was already 3½ when she greeted her sphere of problem solving. Never one to gather dust, she holds two work positions, runs a household, and in her free time breaks away from her full schedule to discover the quieter side of life.

Mission Dispatch is pleased and honored to claim Cindy as our chief financial expert, grateful that she keeps us current in all matters pertaining to managing and distributing donations for our clients throughout the world.

HEATHER TURNER

Accounting

Heather joined Mission Dispatch in 2022 to assist with accounting and make sure clients receive accurate and timely payments. She brings over 20 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting from a variety of industries ranging from manufacturing to financial institutions. Since 2019, Heather has also served as Board Treasurer for Best Dental Help, which works to prevent dental decay in children by bringing oral health services to Washington schools. She lives in Mount Vernon, WA, with her husband Matt, mother-in-law, two dogs, cat and parrot and enjoys dancing and being in nature.
