Emily Marr - Poland

I grew up in a Christian family where I met Jesus at an early age. When I was twelve years
old I attended a youth conference where God called me to missions. During the
conference I received a vision from the Lord where I saw myself serving in a youth camp
on a map of Poland. I became excited for my future with the Lord!

The first time I visited Poland I was five years old. I remember being in my grandfather’s
church in Warsaw. As I watched him preach and pray for people I thought ‘I want to do
that some day.’ My grandfather went to be with the Lord before I was old enough to
express my desire to serve in ministry yet I know he is proud of my decision to pursue my
calling in missions. I saw him serve people in church and in his home. He was always
giving to others that resonated with me.

When I was thirteen years old I visited Poland with my mom, I fell in love with the Polish
people and their hospitality. After I graduated from DTS-Discipleship Training School with
YWAM-Youth With A Mission in 2006 I went on my first missions trip to Poland with my
family. I served at Elim Mission Center on the outskirts of Poland’s countryside; Lwowek
Slaski is a town of less than 10,000 people surrounded by twenty villages with lots of
children and young people. As I served in kid’s camp that summer I just knew some day I
would be back.

I served as a full time missionary with YWAM for six years. During those years the Lord
was developing me for this very calling to Poland and he gave me this scripture from Isaiah

“I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; to open eyes that are blind, to free captives
from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.”

As God launches me into Poland my mission’s assignment is outlined below:

The mission’s assignment to Poland will strengthen existing ministerial alliances for
ongoing effective ministry. The focus will be building new sustainable ministerial solidarity
access across Poland.

• Pastors and Ministerial leader relationship development.
• Serve the Polish people within their needs and ministry areas.
• Engage and network in young peoples leadership events, encounters and

This missions’ assignment distinguishes and defines Gods intentions for his work with you
as partners and me. It will unlock the doors to partnership and team building within Poland
for God using me in ministry. I look forward to hands on.

Assignment Outline

The unique aspect of God’s assignment for me is that I have lived, worked, and built
cross-cultural relationships with the church. Across Eastern Europe within my family God’s
anointing spans five generations of Ministry. At the request of Elim Center Mission
leadership I accept my assignment from God as confirmation.

Thank you for all of your support, prayer and encouragement!

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious
to you; the Lord turn His face towards you and give you peace!
