Gary Edmonds

Over the past 40+ years, Gary Edmonds has been actively engaged in international leadership roles and has written materials and manuals for training indigenous leaders in transformational leadership.  He has produced and distributed several different modules that are being used in many global settings throughout USA, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.  His goal is to assist indigenous churches and Christian leaders to be transformational in their own nations and establish systems and work that will allow the indigenous leaders and ministries to be self-supporting.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.  He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.  They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
  • Isaiah 61:1-4

This passage has articulated Gary’s life calling where the followers of the Messiah will be the Oaks of Righteousness planted for a display of God’s splendor.  This people will rebuild, restore and renew the ruined and devastated cities of the world!

Gary’s desire is to coach and consult missional leaders and organizations, especially those emerging from the Global South.  He works one-on-one and with groups to:

  • Train Christian leaders in Transformational Leadership principles, approaches and processes.
  • Foster unity amongst global Christian leaders to accelerate missional work.
  • Build viable businesses for social and self-sustaining impact in emerging Global South contexts.
